In all my years of racing, I don’t think I’ve ever won this title before but Chris and I are your new BC Provincial Champions!

I actually don’t think Chris can be BC Champ cuz he’s an Aussie but he still had the fastest time and got the big bottle of champagne 🙂

After 2 full days of coaching a crew of developing riders, young up and coming racers and a few older guys that are new to the sport, we managed to pull off the wins!

The track was very challenging with dry, dusty and blown out conditions between rocky technical bits and tight trees. It took a lot of focus and fitness as it was actually quite physical for a shorter track.

I am so grateful to be riding and racing and getting back my strength and confidence. I went from not knowing if I was going to be able to ride at all this summer to standing on podiums at local, provincial and national events. I hope to keep building and get back to being faster and stronger than I ever was.

Looking forward to the Western Open this weekend where we will host another Race Skills Clinic and race for the Western Open title. Then it’s Crankworx for some international competition!
