Oceanias Champion!

Chris takes the win and the Oceanias Champion Title in Glenorchy, Tasmania!

“I had a lot of fun on this track, it was challenging but I was enjoying it. After crashing out at the Bright National and knowing I have the speed, I wanted to win here. There wasn’t a massive turn out at Oceanias but still enough top riders to keep me pushing hard to the end.”

Claire was pretty disappointed with the turn out. She was the only girl in Elite. Hello? You don’t travel to an international event to have no competition. It’s not the way to win. So she challenged herself, used it as practice while riding smart, no need to take too many risks. Especially while still healing from her broken hand.

“It was a really challenging track for me actually, I can’t get used to this dusty powder, it is so hard to get grip and it’s pretty unpredictable. There were a few lines I wasn’t willing to do because of my hand but I loved the challenge and I loved the jumps. Pretty rad track overall.”
