Fresh Rigs

It’s been a big weekend here in Whistler with the opening of the Whistler Bike Park, the Strength In Numbers premier as well as dialing in our fresh DH bikes. Whistler’s been the place to be.

With over 20 trails open, the bike park was in prime shape for opening weekend. The dirt was tacky and the friends plentiful. Had a wicked day ripping with Strand, one of my favourite riding buddies since I pretty much first got on a mountain bike and with Chris, dialing our fresh custom DH rigs in on their virgin rides. Trail crews have been hard at work as there is still quite a bit of snow at mid-station and my wish for rain to melt the Garbanzo zone has now come true, annoying but needed.

The Strength In Numbers premier went off Friday night and in my biased opinion, besides Chris and my parts in the film, hehe ;), I’d have to say the Fort William racing segment in the beginning was my favourite. Racing is incredible, especially at the highest level, a discipline we are addicted to, that can deliver you or crush you. The movie, overall, with it’s amazing cinemetography, riders and scenery, just got you so pumped to go out and ride whatever discipline you’re into. Guess Anthill Films did they’re job 🙂

It’s the new thing. Chris and Jessy Brown wearing their ticket stubbs

Our fresh M9’s are looking absolutely amazing with custom gold links special for us. After 13 years with Intense, Chris says, “It’s the best M9 I’ve ridden so far.” Naz at Marzocchi really stepped up for us with custom black 888’s and gold stanchions for Chris. And a special thanks to the support of the best component companies out there: Nuke Proof, e13, Avid, Sram, Maxxis(claire) and Schwalbe(chris) for helping us piece together some of the sickest DH rigs out there.

Thanks to all of our sponsors for supporting our little team duo. In our opinion, we’ve got the sickest bikes out of all the pro teams out there!

Black ‘n Gold….ti springs on their way too, should make for a fine racing machine.

So whilst anticipating the first North American World Cup in Mont Saint Anne Quebec, one of our favourite tracks on the circuit, we’ve got quite a busy schedule that includes endless laps in our Whistler Bike Park training ground, hangin’ at our favourite Whistler shop, Evolution, some fun media projects as well as continuing to coach the future.
